Final vote expected Friday to determine UNC system tuition hike
The budget and finance committee of the UNC Board of Governors passed a recommendation Thursday by system president Tom Ross to raise tuition next year. The full board will vote Friday. The increase would average 8.8 percent or about $500 dollars for all universities. Some schools had requested a bigger hike to offset cuts in state funding....
