PART elects new board members

The Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation has elected High Point Mayor Becky Smothers as its 2012 board chair. Brent McKinney, executive director for PART, said Surry County Commissioner Paul Johnson will serve as vice chair while Davidson County Commissioner Don Truell will serve as treasurer. Greensboro City Councilwoman Dianne Bellamy-Small has been selected as secretary. PART provides regional transportation services for Alamance, Davidson, Guilford, Forsyth, Randolph and Rockingham counties. ...
