Verizon pours $290M into N.C. network improvements

Verizon Wireless said Thursday that it invested more than $290 million in 2011 to improve and expand access to its wireless broadband and voice service in North Carolina. The company expanded its 4G LTE network last year to cities including Raleigh, Durham, Asheville, Fayetteville, Greensboro, High Point, Lumberton, Wilmington, and Winston-Salem.
